PLANTAR FASCIITIS

Do you experience heel pain uopon the frist strike when you arise in the mornings?

Then you might be suffering from planter fascitis. Plantar fasciitis is an inflammation of the fibrous tissue (plantar fascia) along the bottom of your foot that connects your heel bone to your toes. Plantar fasciitis can cause intense heel pain. This heel pain tends to lessen with motion as the day progresses. However activites such as extended standing sometime can recreate the pain.

Although the diagnosis is typically seen in runners there are other variables that predipose people to this problem such as age, job, being overweight, biomechanics of the feet as well as the complexity of one's exercises.

With early diagnosis, and an effective treatment plan this complaint can in fact be resolved. However, failure to address this problem early may eventually result in surgery.
